Adria Ferries Records Bunker Reductions Following Propeller Coating Application
An internal operational analysis by Adria Ferries confirms a 2% to 3% reduction in fuel burn aboard the ferry AF MIA following the use of Propspeed coatings.

Adria Ferries has registered measurable efficiency improvements aboard its passenger ferry AF MIA after treating the vessel's propulsion gear with marine coatings manufactured by Propspeed.
The operator completed the application of the Propspeed system to the ship's propeller blades in March. Subsequent internal performance monitoring conducted by the ferry company indicated an immediate decrease in energy demand across regular sailings.
Data gathered from the company's operational assessment showed an overall fuel consumption reduction of between 2% and 3%. On average, the vessel consumed roughly 0.6 to 0.7 fewer tonnes of fuel during each individual crossing after the application.
Over the initial three-month operating period following the propeller treatment, Adria Ferries calculated cumulative bunker savings of approximately 56 tonnes on the AF MIA, an asset configured to carry up to 1,528 passengers and 819 vehicles per voyage.
