Bencros Marine Fenders Launches Verified Carbon Reduction Certificates
Port and vessel equipment manufacturer Bencros has introduced certified emissions reductions for customers based on embedded carbon savings in its rubber fenders.

Slovakia-headquartered manufacturer Bencros Marine Fenders has introduced a mechanism enabling buyers to account for certified carbon dioxide emission reductions achieved through its equipment manufacturing. The initiative allows maritime operators to apply verified savings directly toward their own corporate emissions profiles.
The framework was officially unveiled during the SMM Start-up Night event held in Hamburg. Through the newly established process, the carbon reductions embedded in the manufacturing of the rubber fenders undergo independent verification before the certified credits are transferred to purchasing clients.
Bencros supplies specialized fender systems utilized across marine terminal berths, as well as on tugs and workboats. The introduction of third-party certified emission reductions is designed to support port authorities, terminal operators, and vessel owners seeking verifiable carbon accounting within their procurement chains.
The company confirmed that the rollout of the initial certified emission reduction documentation is scheduled to go live on 2 September 2026.
