bound4blue Obtains Bureau Veritas Design Assessment for eSAIL
The classification society has verified the technical design of the developer's Model 3-24 suction sail wind propulsion system.

Wind propulsion developer bound4blue has been granted a Design Assessment by classification society Bureau Veritas for its Model 3-24 eSAIL system.
The classification process confirmed that the suction sail design meets Bureau Veritas' technical and engineering requirements following an independent technical review.
The certification comes as the Spanish technology provider expands the commercial rollout of its wind-assisted propulsion technology across merchant shipping, with more than 50 eSAIL units in its overall portfolio.
Formal design assessments from major classification bodies provide shipowners and technical managers with regulatory verification of wind-assisted systems as the global commercial fleet increasingly evaluates auxiliary wind propulsion to reduce fuel consumption.
