French ocean carrier CMA CGM and Red Sea Gateway Terminal have signed a definitive agreement to develop and manage Terminal 4 at the Port of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

The large-scale terminal project represents an aggregate capital investment of SAR 1.6 billion, equivalent to approximately $434 million.

Following the completion of development works, the new terminal facility is slated to add an estimated 2.6 million TEU in annual cargo handling capacity to the Red Sea maritime hub.

The venture reflects ongoing capital deployment into commercial port infrastructure along the Saudi coast, strengthening overall cargo handling capabilities at the Jeddah gateway.
