Damen Introduces 1,100 TEU Hybrid Container Feeder Design
Damen Shipyards Group has expanded its cargo vessel portfolio with the launch of the CFe 1100, a new hybrid-ready container feeder design.

Damen Shipyards Group has unveiled a new vessel concept within its commercial cargo portfolio, introducing the Container Feeder (CFe) 1100. The newly developed model provides a nominal capacity of 1,100 TEU and is tailored for deployment across regional routes and international feeder networks.
The CFe 1100 incorporates an optimized, fuel-efficient hull form alongside a standard hybrid drive installation. This base setup is intended to support improved operational efficiency and reduced emissions during standard service.
To accommodate evolving environmental regulations and fuel alternatives, the vessel platform includes structural and technical preparations for future retrofits. The design is configured to support potential conversions to methanol fueling as well as battery propulsion systems.
With this release, the CFe 1100 joins Damen's existing portfolio of cargo vessels, complementing the previously launched CFe 800 as part of the builder's broader series of specialized feeder designs.
