Damen Shipyards and Everllence Ink Framework Deal for 175D Engines
Everllence will supply its high-speed 175D engines to Damen Shipyards Group under a new long-term framework agreement supporting alternative-fuel tug designs.

Dutch shipbuilder Damen Shipyards Group has concluded a framework agreement with engine manufacturer Everllence for the serial delivery of its 175D high-speed marine engines.
The long-term partnership establishes a supply structure to support Damen's Fuel Flexible tug programme, alongside potential integration across other vessel designs within the shipbuilder's portfolio.
Everllence, which previously operated under the name MAN Energy Solutions, confirmed that the arrangement is structured to maintain engine deliveries for the shipyard's construction requirements well into the future.
The 175D engine series previously received formal certification in 2023 for operation using 100 percent biofuel, positioning the propulsion platform for operators seeking alternative-fuel compatibility across working vessel applications.
