ESL Shipping Concludes Green Coaster Campaign with Delivery of Luxomar
The Finnish dry bulk carrier has accepted the twelfth and final 5,400 DWT plug-in hybrid vessel built by India's Chowgule & Company.

ESL Shipping has expanded its fleet with the delivery of the 5,400 DWT vessel Luxomar, marking the completion of its twelve-ship Green Coaster newbuilding programme.
Constructed by Chowgule & Company in India, the vessel is the final installment in the series of plug-in hybrid coasters ordered by the company. The Indian shipyard was responsible for constructing all twelve units in the fuel-efficient series.
The 90-metre-long, Cyprus-flagged vessel is powered by a Yanmar main engine rated at 1,920 kW, integrating hybrid power systems aimed at reducing emissions during coastal trading operations.
Following its formal handover on 8 September, the newly delivered coaster will soon get underway on its maiden voyage from India to Europe, where it will join its sister vessels in regional commercial service.
The delivery represents the completion of a targeted fleet investment programme designed to strengthen ESL Shipping's operating capabilities and competitive position in European shortsea bulk trading.
