Hapag-Lloyd has implemented a dedicated slot-charter arrangement to sustain its liner connectivity to Casablanca, adjusting its regional coverage after restructuring its mainline services.

The carrier is marketing the feeder connection under the Casablanca Feeder (CSF) service code. The new setup follows the decision to omit the Moroccan port from the port rotation of Hapag-Lloyd's West Africa Express (WAX) service.

According to industry intelligence from Alphaliner, the CSF offering relies on container slots chartered aboard the SPX1 service operated by common feeder operator X-Press Feeders.

The underlying SPX1 port schedule includes calls at Barcelona, allowing Hapag-Lloyd to route Moroccan import and export volumes through existing regional transhipment hubs without assigning its own vessels to the trade.
