Ocean carrier Hapag-Lloyd has announced tariff rate increases on services connecting the Western Mediterranean with ports across Latin America and the Caribbean.

German ocean carrier Hapag-Lloyd has announced an upcoming adjustment to its pricing structure, implementing higher ocean freight tariff rates on routes connecting the Western Mediterranean with Latin American destinations.
The upward rate adjustments will encompass origins across the Western Mediterranean basin, with the carrier explicitly noting the inclusion of export loadings from southern France as well as Greece.
In terms of discharge coverage, the revised tariffs apply to trade corridors serving inbound ports across the Caribbean, Central America, and the west coast of South America.
According to the liner operator, the updated pricing schedule takes effect for all sailings with a tariffing date from 1 October 2026. The adjusted ocean tariff rates are set to remain valid until further notice.
