MMT and Foreship Form Framework Agreement on Air Lubrication Systems
Manta Marine Technologies has partnered with Foreship by RINA to take over the end-to-end delivery of its air lubrication technology.

Manta Marine Technologies (MMT) and naval architecture consultancy Foreship by RINA have signed a framework agreement aimed at expanding the deployment of air lubrication systems across the commercial maritime sector.
Under the newly established arrangement, MMT will assume comprehensive responsibility for the commercialisation, supply, and installation of the Manta Air Lubrication system. The technology package is built directly upon Foreship's proprietary air lubrication design.
Air lubrication systems are designed to decrease hydrodynamic frictional resistance along a ship's hull by introducing a continuous layer of micro-bubbles. This reduces fuel consumption and lowers emissions during transit, serving as a mechanical efficiency measure for shipowners seeking operational improvements.
The partnership structures an integrated delivery model for the technology, combining Foreship's engineering foundation with MMT's project delivery and integration capabilities for vessel owners and operators.
