Rotterdam's marine biofuel market exhibited mixed pricing movements over the past week, with bio-blended residual fuels holding firm while distillate blends climbed. The price of B30-VLSFO utilizing palm oil mill effluent methyl ester (POMEME) remained unchanged week on week in the major Dutch bunkering hub.

The flat pricing for the B30-VLSFO POMEME blend came despite upward movement in the port's traditional fuel markets. Conventional bunker fuel in Rotterdam recorded a $40/mt increase over the same seven-day period.

Conversely, Rotterdam's distillate bio-blends tracked conventional price strength. The port's B30-LSMGO (POMEME) blend increased by $38/mt week on week.

That rise was supported by a substantial gain in the underlying fossil fuel benchmark, where conventional LSMGO prices in Rotterdam advanced by $100/mt. Regional bio-feedstock pricing across both POMEME and used cooking oil methyl ester (UCOME) barge markets was assessed by Prima.
