Seahawk Investments Launches Maritime Credit Fund for Direct Ship Financing
Frankfurt-based asset manager Seahawk Investments has moved into direct vessel lending with a new fund targeting underserved small and mid-sized shipowners.

Frankfurt-headquartered investment manager Seahawk Investments has expanded into direct maritime lending through the rollout of a dedicated ship financing fund.
The firm, which is backed by investment management and advisory company Transport Capital, has introduced the Seahawk Maritime Credit Fund to provide direct credit across the commercial shipping space.
Structured as a Luxembourg-domiciled reserved alternative investment fund, the vehicle is designed to address a growing financing gap in the maritime industry. The fund focuses specifically on smaller and mid-sized shipowners that have faced restricted access to traditional banking facilities.
Commercial lenders have become increasingly selective with maritime credit portfolios over recent years, prompting non-bank lenders and alternative credit platforms to step in with bespoke debt solutions for vessel operators.
