Shearwater and SLB Begin 3D Seismic Survey Offshore Amapá
A new multi-client geophysical acquisition program has commenced offshore northern Brazil following a recent discovery in the basin.

Marine geophysical contractors Shearwater Geoservices and SLB have commenced a 3D multi-client seismic survey offshore Brazil. The operational campaign is designed to acquire detailed subsurface data over prospective offshore acreage in the region.
The survey program is situated in the waters off the state of Amapá in northern Brazil. Exploration momentum in the area has built following a recent discovery, prompting energy companies to seek expanded geophysical coverage over the basin.
Through the joint effort, Shearwater Geoservices and SLB are deploying three-dimensional seismic acquisition technology to image prospective exploration zones. The resulting multi-client datasets will be processed and marketed to offshore operators assessing the geological potential of the acreage.
The start of the acquisition reflects continuing interest in expanding high-resolution geophysical data assets across Brazil's northern offshore domain following recent drilling success.
