TotalEnergies Lubmarine Introduces Aurelia FE for Medium-Speed Engines
The new trunk piston engine oil demonstrated a 1.5% fuel reduction in standardized testing and is backed by over 100,000 operational hours.

TotalEnergies Lubmarine has introduced a new marine lubricant, Aurelia FE, developed specifically for four-stroke medium-speed propulsion systems. The trunk piston engine oil enters the market aimed at assisting ship operators in curbing bunker consumption, trimming operating expenses, and boosting overall vessel efficiency.
According to the marine lubricants supplier, the product was formulated to directly address operational expenditure demands. Lowering fuel consumption serves as a key objective for vessel owners seeking greater efficiency across their fleets.
Laboratory bench evaluations conducted under the standardized IMO E3 test cycle of the NOx Technical Code demonstrated fuel savings of 1.5% for the new formulation. TotalEnergies Lubmarine noted that field testing indicates the potential for even greater fuel-reduction benefits when deployed under actual operational conditions.
The commercial launch of Aurelia FE is supported by extensive operational validation, with the company recording more than 100,000 hours of service experience across marine applications.
