Wison New Energies Begins Fabrication on Eni Offshore Côte d'Ivoire FPSO
Chinese engineering firm Wison New Energies has cut the first steel for a newbuild floating production unit destined for Italian operator Eni's operations off Côte d’Ivoire.

Chinese engineering and construction contractor Wison New Energies has commenced the fabrication phase for a newbuild floating production, storage, and offloading vessel. The milestone was marked by the formal first steel cutting for the offshore production asset.
The new FPSO is scheduled to be deployed off the coast of Côte d’Ivoire. It will support the subsequent development phase of a key oil and gas field located in the West African country's offshore sector.
Italian energy company Eni acts as the operator for the offshore concession where the unit will eventually be installed. The project represents a continuing expansion of energy production infrastructure in the region.
With fabrication now officially underway at Wison's facilities, the project moves into its primary structural assembly stage to fulfill Eni's operational schedule for the Ivorian offshore assets.
