Woodside and Pemex Partner on Gulf of Mexico Deepwater Exploration
Woodside Energy and Mexico's state-owned Pemex have signed a non-binding agreement to evaluate deepwater oil and gas opportunities in the Gulf of Mexico.

Australian energy operator Woodside Energy has entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Mexico's state-owned oil company Petroleos Mexicanos, known as Pemex, to pursue prospective deepwater exploration opportunities.
The preliminary agreement creates a framework for the two companies to examine potential offshore hydrocarbon plays situated in deepwater regions across the Gulf of Mexico.
Under the non-binding framework, Woodside and Pemex plan to evaluate prospective acreage and technical opportunities collaboratively, without entering into binding commercial commitments at this initial phase.
The venture reflects ongoing industry interest in assessing offshore reserves within the Gulf of Mexico, drawing upon the exploration experience and operational capabilities of both participating energy firms.
