Alkagesta brought together its Singapore team with colleagues from across the group during APPEC 2026, the Asia Pacific Petroleum Conference held in Singapore, using the occasion to take stock of the growth achieved in the market over the past year.

APPEC is S&P Global's flagship oil and commodities conference for the Asia Pacific region, drawing senior figures from across the trading, shipping and refining industries to Singapore each September.

In a relatively short period, Alkagesta has established a solid position in the Singapore market, securing storage capacity at Horizon Terminal and building out its distribution business in the short market. The company's physical presence in the market has expanded significantly over the same period.

Delivered volumes in Singapore have reached approximately 250,000 tonnes per month, representing around 5% of the city-state's marine fuels market.

The growth in Singapore is reflected in Alkagesta's H1 2026 results:

1.65 million MT delivered, up approximately 104% from 0.81 million MT in H1 2025 US$1.01 billion in revenue, up approximately 171% versus FY2025 Stronger profitability and a strengthened capital base

The results reflect the business being built step by step, with infrastructure, market relationships and trading capabilities developed alongside a growing team on the ground in Singapore.

Alkagesta thanked its Singapore colleagues and everyone across the group who contributed to the market's development, describing the Singapore build-out as an example of what different parts of the business can achieve when working toward a common purpose across regions.

Further growth in the Singapore market is expected in the period ahead.
