Höegh Autoliners Secures Five-Year Navigation Tech Agreement with SGM Technology
The Norwegian operator will deploy SGM Technology's PntGuard system across its active fleet of 38 ships and incoming newbuilds.

Norwegian vessel operator Höegh Autoliners has entered into a long-term agreement with domestic maritime tech firm SGM Technology to bolster navigational resilience across its fleet.
The five-year contract entails the deployment of SGM Technology's proprietary PntGuard system. The technology is engineered to maintain and support reliable vessel positioning capabilities during sea passages.
The rollout will cover Höegh Autoliners' current operational fleet of 38 vessels, ensuring standardisation of the positioning support infrastructure across existing assets.
In addition to the operational fleet, the agreement stipulates that any newbuildings delivered and entering commercial service throughout the five-year contract period will also be outfitted with the system.
