Hercules Tanker Management Launches Maiden Voyage for Alternative Fuel Tanker Hercules Vanessa
The 7,882 DWT chemical and bunker tanker has set sail for Mauritius, marking the introduction of the first vessel in a 10-ship series featuring MarineLINE coatings.

Hercules Tanker Management has announced that its newbuilding oil and chemical products tanker, the Hercules Vanessa, has officially departed on its maiden voyage. The 7,882 DWT vessel has entered active service and is currently en route to Port Louis, Mauritius.
The ship is the inaugural unit in a series of 10 specialized tankers designed to meet shifting bunkering and chemical transport demands. The design enables the vessel to carry and deliver both conventional marine fuels and emerging clean fuel alternatives.
Built to handle specialized products, the Hercules Vanessa possesses the technical capability to manage methanol cargoes as well as biofuel blends reaching up to B100. This configuration is aimed at expanding logistics flexibility as the shipping industry tests and integrates non-fossil bunker alternatives.
Additionally, the Hercules Vanessa represents the first delivery within the 10-vessel series to incorporate the MarineLINE high-performance cargo tank coating system. The coating is applied to enhance cargo flexibility and safeguard tank integrity when carrying diverse and aggressive liquid cargoes.
