MacGregor Secures RoRo Equipment Contract for TT-Line Hybrid Newbuilds
China Merchants Jinling Shipyard has contracted MacGregor to supply comprehensive RoRo access equipment for two battery-hybrid LNG ferries ordered by Germany's TT-Line.

Cargo handling specialist MacGregor has secured a contract with China Merchants Jinling Shipyard to supply a comprehensive package of RoRo equipment for two new battery-hybrid liquefied natural gas (LNG) ferries being built for German operator TT-Line.
The equipment order supports TT-Line's 'Green Ship 2.0' fleet development program. The German ferry company initially contracted the Chinese shipyard for the first 240-metre vessel in December, followed by the confirmation of the second newbuild in July.
Each of the dual-fuel newbuilds will be configured with 5,400 lane metres of cargo intake capacity and will feature onboard passenger accommodations for up to 1,000 people.
Upon completion and delivery from the shipyard, the two battery-hybrid LNG vessels are slated to be deployed across TT-Line's regular Baltic Sea route network, providing transport links between Germany, Sweden, Poland, and Lithuania.
