Dorian LPG Contracts Three Dual-Fuel VLGCs at Hanwha Ocean
The Connecticut-based shipowner has signed a $345 million deal for three 90,000 cbm gas carriers delivering across 2030.

Dorian LPG has finalized a newbuilding agreement with Hanwha Ocean covering the construction of three 90,000 cubic metre dual-fuel very large gas carriers.
The investment represents a total commitment of approximately $345 million, according to a statement issued by the Connecticut-based owner and operator on Friday.
The three Panamax-size vessels are slated for phased delivery toward the end of the decade, with handovers scheduled for June, September, and December 2030.
The ordered tonnage will feature dual-fuel engines capable of running on both LPG and traditional low-sulphur marine fuels.
In addition to the alternative propulsion arrangement, the vessels will integrate a Shaft Generator system to generate onboard power while at sea, supported by optimized hull designs.
