Swire Shipping has announced an upcoming adjustment to its Emergency Bunker Surcharge (EBS) covering multiple regional trade routes. The revised bunker fee structure is scheduled to become effective from 15 September 2026.

Under the updated schedule, the revised tariff will apply to all shipments bearing a Bill of Lading dated on or after the designated implementation date.

The adjustment encompasses standard containerized freight as well as specialized equipment, establishing new cost levels for 20-foot and 40-foot dry containers alongside 20-foot and 40-foot refrigerated equipment.

In addition to container units, the bunker adjustments extend to breakbulk and less-than-container-load (LCL) consignments, calculated on a revenue ton (RT) basis for shipments moving from global origin regions across the carrier's network.
