Alkagesta Secures ISCC CORSIA Certification for Sustainable Aviation Fuel Trading

Commodity and fuel trader Alkagesta has secured ISCC CORSIA certification, authorising the business to trade and deliver sustainable aviation fuel aligned with international sustainability requirements set by the International Civil Aviation Organization.

The certification functions under an approved International Civil Aviation Organization framework, validating that supplied fuel volumes achieve mandated lifecycle greenhouse gas reduction benchmarks. As aviation compliance requirements advance globally, the accreditation establishes verified proof of origin and emissions performance for airline counterparties.

Anthony Guida, biofuels trader and business developer at Alkagesta, stated that obtaining the certification reflects the expansion of the firm's biofuels operations and its commitment to compliant market involvement. Guida noted that the credential establishes clear chain of custody and traceability throughout the supply process, aiding counterparties in meeting international and regional blending mandates.

The certification arrives amid shifting regulatory conditions in Europe, where measures like ReFuelEU Aviation enforce progressive fuel blending requirements.
